Ai Weiwei - Cats (Black)

Ai Weiwei’s Cats (Black) (2022) is a screenprint created in collaboration with his son Ai Lao, depicting their two cats, Maple and Birch. Rendered in striking black and white, the image combines bold graphic clarity with a sense of intimacy, merging personal subject matter with the artist’s sharp visual language. Issued in an edition of 150, each print is hand-signed, numbered, and dated.
